To Smithsonian Director Lonnie G. Bunch III: As a taxpayer, I was troubled to learn from the government watchdog White Coat Waste Project, about the Smithsonian’s ties to Auburn University’s kitten mill. Why are the Smithsonian’s laboratories obtaining cats from Auburn University’s kitten mill? They’re infamous for spending my tax dollars on an experimental breeding colony, where kittens are crippled and deliberately bred to suffer from genetic diseases, then shipped to labs to be tortured and killed. The Smithsonian needs to be better than this! I’m calling on you to immediately END your support for the gruesome Auburn University lab, and work with your colleagues to help shut down the heinous government funded kitten experiments for good!
