The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) is still spending tax money on lethal kitten experiments. USDA refuses to let families adopt the survivors—
it prefers to just kill them.
Please complete the form below to send a pre-written email to Congress. Demand USDA stop abusing cats and retire all animals now!

Five years ago, White Coat Waste Project’s (WCW) investigations, grassroots campaigns, and lobbying on Capitol Hill completely shut down the government’s largest cat experimentation laboratory: the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Kitten Slaughterhouse. Building on this momentum, Congress enacted legislation in 2021 and 2022 directing the USDA to join other federal agencies in creating a lab retirement policy allowing survivors to be adopted out into loving homes. So, I was troubled to learn from WCW that the USDA has defied Congress and refused to enact this commonsense, life-saving policy. Citing ongoing White Coat Waste Project (WCW) investigations, bipartisan lawmakers are demanding answers from the U.S. Department of Agriculture about its wasteful spending on cruel dog and cat experiments in the U.S. and overseas. As first reported by POLITICO, led by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), the bipartisan coalition writes: “The USDA’s decision to end its in-house kitten experiments and adopt out the survivors was a step in the right direction, but the problems of harmful USDA-funded experiments on cats and the agency’s lack of a lab animal retirement plan apparently persist.” As a taxpayer, I don’t want the USDA to waste my hard-earned money abusing cats in cruel and unnecessary experiments. I strongly urge the USDA to comply with bipartisan efforts to cancel the grants and end painful testing on cats once and for all. Thank you for your leadership and your consideration.
