As a {user_data~State} taxpayer and pet owner, I was outraged to learn that my tax dollars are paying for wasteful and cruel primate testing at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Dept. of Defense (DOD), Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS), Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The U.S. government rips baby monkeys away from their moms, locks them in solitary confinement, and forcibly addicts primates to street drugs like fentanyl and nicotine.

Hundreds of millions of tax dollars each year are being wasted on unnecessary tests. Many labs violate federal spending and transparency laws.

What's worse, the government admits these tests fail 95% of the time and waste billions of dollars. Like over 70% of taxpayers, I oppose outdated primate experimentation and support efforts to cut this egregious waste and abuse.
 
I hope you will join bipartisan efforts to enforce the law and hold all federal agencies accountable for wasteful spending on animal experiments and related violations of law.
