Dear Dr. Bhattacharya,

I urge you to take immediate action to cut all current and future NIH funding for painful experiments on dogs and cats and retire the survivors.

I was troubled to learn from White Coat Waste investigations the NIH is the country’s single largest funder wasteful experiments on pets, including ongoing tests like:

- Deadly septic shock testing on dogs at the NIH’s headquarters

- Drug testing on 300 beagles per week in China

- Fauci’s COVID infection experiments on cats

- Spinning around kittens for motion sickness experiments

- Injecting puppies with cocaine and fentanyl

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is among the many members of the Trump Administration who has supported WCW’s work to end Fauci and NIH’s experiments on pets, along with other Trump cabinet members, the First Family, and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. Senator Rand Paul, Senate DOGE Chair Joni Ernst, House GOP Chairwoman Lisa McClain and others are working with WCW to cut NIH’s wasteful dog and cat testing.

The first Trump Administration made historic progress to end government animal testing, and I hope you to continue these important efforts to save animals and tax dollars.
