Nicole Kleinstreuer, an Acting NIH Deputy Director, just told NPR that animal testing is “very important” and “often scientifically justified.” This explains why the NIH just: 

Paid a lab where kittens have their eyes sewn shut. 
Greenlit the continued torture of monkeys with snakes and spiders inside NIH HQ. 
Renewed Dr. Fauci’s tick-biting experiments on 400 beagles.

This is unacceptable. NIH is STILL wasting my tax money!

I’m furious.

Nicole Kleinstreuer, an Acting Deputy Director leading NIH’s new ORIVA office, just told NPR that NIH has “no intention of just phasing out animal studies overnight.” Worse, she doubled down, calling animal testing “very important” and “often scientifically justified.” 
She’s dead wrong — and you must hold her accountable.

I first learned about Kleinstreuer’s reckless remarks — and the NIH’s disturbing new status quo plan — through The Gateway Pundit and the watchdogs at White Coat Waste. I also learned NIH just:

- Paid a lab that sews kittens eyes shut 
- Renewed funding for cruel monkey experiments at Harvard 
- Funded more of Dr. Fauci’s beagle abuse at the University of Missouri

All on Kleinstreuer and Bhattacharya’s watch.

Don’t be fooled: Kleinstreuer’s talk of “alternatives” sounds good, but it’s meaningless without action. Her NIH plan has no cuts to spending, no phaseout deadlines, and no accountability.

Kleinstreuer’s plan doesn’t get animals out of labs right now — it just cements the status quo while pretending to reform it. The solution isn’t to create new big government departments — it’s to abolish the ones enabling this waste and abuse. Kleinstreuer’s stance also puts her squarely at odds with:

- Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who promised a dramatic reduction in NIH animal testing 
- A majority of taxpayers in both parties 
- President Donald Trump, whose first administration — working with White Coat Waste — took historic action to shut down government dog and cat labs

As a taxpayer and a pet owner, I urge you to reject Kleinstreuer’s dead-end plan. Defund NIH’s animal abuse. Dismantle ORIVA. And hold Kleinstreuer accountable.
